I typically have one cup of tea or coffee each morning, so I usually have tea as I don’t want to brew up a whole pot of coffee for just one cup. I normally use tea bags, and occasionally the Folgers’ single serve teabags of coffee, but these coffee teabags come wrapped individually in plastic which seems wasteful. I like Celestial Seasonings teas as they come in a waxed paper pouch with no excess plastic. Even better is brewing tea in a mesh tea infuser so you can use fresh mint, or bulk dried teas. So, I’ve been thinking about finding a better way to make a single serving of coffee (and the wasteful Keurig is not it!)
So since I was thinking about tea infusers, I thought, I wonder if they have anything for coffee that is like a tea infuser, a sort of single serve coffee infuser… and behold – I found this charming little stainless steel single cup coffee maker that is simply a stainless steel filter, similar to that of a tea infuser. You simply add your coffee grounds, set on your mug, then pour boiling water into the filter and it will filter the perfect cup of coffee. What’s great about this filter is that you can use bulk coffee, and any special flavors or organic brands desired. No waste! The double filter with extremely fine inner mesh, held by the delicately-perforated steel cone keeps the grounds out. And, it’s simple to clean, just rinse gently with soap and water and it’s ready for the next day.
So if you’re looking for a coffee infuser, this is the perfect one cup coffee maker that is great for those one-cup-a-day coffee drinkers like me.
If you’re looking for a tea infuser, these stainless steel mesh tea infusers are perfect for the job.
