Rather than buying every tool for every project, people in Denver can borrow tools from The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/denvertoollibrary.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Denver Tool Library<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0555 Santa Fe Drive. While there is a yearly membership of $80, this is a good investment if you are a frequent tool user but don&#8217;t have the funds or the room to purchase and store every tool needed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ijdesign.com\/blog\/Denver-Tool-Library-Green-Design.jpg\" alt=\"Denver Green Designer\" width=\"630\" height=\"420\" \/><em>Above photo and info from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.5280.com\/tags\/authors\/camilla-sterne\" target=\"_blank\">Camilla Sterne<\/a>&#8216;s article in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.5280.com\/dwell\/digital\/2015\/04\/mile-high-diy-just-got-easier\" target=\"_blank\">5280 Magazine \u00bb<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sarah Steiner is the driving force behind\u00a0Denver Tool Library, using volunteers to renovate the 1,000 square-foot space on Santa Fe and putting together the initial inventory of 1,409 wrenches, clamps, drills, shovels, handheld and electric saws, and bike tools. \u00a0With a successful IndieGoGo campaign raising $22,976 this past December, and a lot of public support, including 1,271 handheld tools donated by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.meridianintl.com\/website\/Brands\/TACTIX\/TACTIX.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tactix<\/a>,\u00a0a bike station courtesy of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/velowoodcyclery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Velowood Cyclery<\/a>, and lots of other donations from the community, the Tool Library opened on April 4th to the community.<\/p>\n<p>The Denver Tool Library hours are:<br \/>\nTuesdays and Thursdays: 3 pm to 7 pm<br \/>\nSaturdays and Sundays: 10 am to 2 pm<br \/>\nBorrowed tools are due for return after two business days.<\/p>\n<p>Want to help?
