DrivingChange.org – Drive More Efficiently!

Reduct Pollution - No IdlingDrivingChange.org is a program that is help educating Colorado drivers on how (if you have to drive) you can reduce your emissions and gas usage.

Automobile emissions account for approximately 30% of Denver’s greenhouse gas emissions (carbon dioxide and other pollutants), and these emissions add to the global warming crisis that threatens Denver, our State, and the planet.

Aggressive driving behaviors that are being measured in Driving Change increase the production of CO2. Minimize the following driving behaviors:

  • Hard braking (caused often by tailgating — which is dangerous anyway!)
  • Fast starts (racing off the line races through your gas tank)
  • Speeding (the faster you go, the more gas you use)
  • Excessive idling (don’t “warm” up the car, don’t idle in parking lots)

By eliminating these simple activities, you can easily reduce CO2 emissions and gasoline consumption, which also means saving money!
