What a neat idea – French Bio-chemist Pierre Calleja of Fermentalg, a cleantech company that develops sustainable solutions using microalgae, invented a street light that is powered by CO2-feeding microalgae. These lights actually consume CO2, and in-turn, provide light! One of these lights can absorb a full ton of CO2 each year, this would take a tree it’s entire lifetime to absorb that much! What a neat idea.
